1. Program overview
1.1 The Countfire referral program ("Program") is operated by Countfire Limited, a private limited company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 08510775), with registered office at The Old Church, 89b Quicks Road, Wimbledon, London, England, SW19 1EX ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").
1.2 By participating in the Program, you ("Participant," "you," or "your") agree to these terms and conditions.
1.3 These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Countfire Limited.
2. Eligibility requirements
2.1 Participants must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be legal residents of countries where the Program operates
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
2.2 The following are not eligible to participate:
- Current Countfire employees, contractors, or consultants
- Immediate family members of Countfire employees
- Individuals or entities previously removed from the Program
- Referrals made through automated systems or bots
2.3 Countfire reserves the right to verify eligibility and disqualify participants at its discretion.
3. Referral requirements and qualifications
3.1 A "qualified referral" must meet all of the following criteria:
- Be a new customer with no active or prior Countfire account
- Not have had a Countfire account within the previous 12 months
- Sign up using the Participant’s unique referral link
- Activate a paid subscription during signup
3.2 The following do not qualify:
- Self-referrals or referrals to businesses you own or control
- Referrals to family members living at the same address
- Customers who only sign up for free trials
- Duplicate referrals of the same customer
3.3 Referral tracking is automated through Countfire’s systems. Manual or retroactive claims are not accepted.
4. Payment terms and conditions
4.1 Referral reward amount: £250 GBP per qualified referral.
4.2 Payment timeline:
- Payments are typically processed within 14 days of the referred customer activating a paid subscription.
- However, Countfire reserves the right to take up to 90 days to investigate and validate any referral before releasing payment.
- Payment timing is at Countfire’s discretion and not tied to a specific calendar date.
4.3 Payment requirements:
- Participants must have a verified PayPal account.
- The PayPal email must match the email registered in the Program.
- The Participant is responsible for any PayPal-related fees.
4.4 Tax obligations:
- Participants are responsible for any applicable taxes.
- Countfire may request tax documentation or issue statements as required by law.
4.5 Payment disputes:
- Disputes must be raised within 30 days of the expected payment date.
- Include all relevant referral details and documentation.
- Countfire’s decision on disputes is final.
5. Referred customer benefits
5.1 Customers referred through the Program will receive:
- £100 setup fee waiver (automatically applied at signup)
5.2 Referral benefits:
- Cannot be combined with other offers or promotions
- Are non-transferable and have no cash value
- Must be redeemed within 60 days of signup
6. Promotional guidelines and restrictions
6.1 Acceptable promotion methods:
- Personal recommendations to genuine contacts
- Social media posts that comply with platform rules
- Professional networking
- Email to opted-in contacts
- Your own website or blog
6.2 Prohibited activities:
- Spam or unsolicited messaging
- False, misleading, or deceptive claims
- Paid search advertising on Countfire brand terms
- Offering undisclosed incentives to referred users
- Creating websites or ads that impersonate Countfire
- Using Countfire branding or trademarks without permission
- Cold calling or unsolicited phone contact
6.3 Disclosure requirements:
- You must clearly disclose your participation in the referral program
- You must follow all applicable regulations and consumer protection laws (e.g., FTC guidelines)
7. Intellectual property rights
7.1 Participants are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use Countfire-provided marketing materials solely for participation in the Program.
7.2 You may not:
- Modify or misuse Countfire logos or branding
- Create derivative works
- Register domains or social handles using “Countfire”
- Use Countfire trademarks in paid advertising
8. Data protection and privacy
8.1 Countfire collects and processes:
- Your registration data
- Referral tracking and account activity
- Payment information
- Communication preferences
8.2 Data use is governed by our Privacy Policy.
8.3 You must not share any personal data of referred customers.
8.4 You agree to comply with all applicable data protection laws (e.g., GDPR).
9. Program modifications and termination
9.1 Countfire may amend these terms with 30 days’ notice via email or account notification. Continued participation constitutes acceptance.
9.2 Countfire may terminate the Program with 30 days’ notice. All verified, qualified referrals submitted before termination will be honored.
9.3 Countfire may suspend or terminate individual participants for rule violations, including fraud or manipulation. In such cases, unpaid rewards for disqualified referrals will be forfeited.
10. Liability limitations and disclaimers
10.1 Countfire’s total liability is limited to the value of referral rewards due at the time of the claim.
10.2 We are not responsible for:
- Technical issues with tracking or payment processing
- Lost profits or indirect damages
- Third-party platform failures
- Events outside our reasonable control (force majeure)
10.3 You agree to indemnify Countfire against any claims or liabilities resulting from your participation in the Program.
10.4 These limitations and disclaimers are governed by, and shall be interpreted in accordance with, the laws of England and Wales.
11. Dispute resolution
11.1 You agree to attempt informal resolution before taking any legal action.
11.2 These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
11.3 The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over all disputes arising from or relating to this Program.
11.4 Any claims or actions must be initiated within 12 months of the event giving rise to the dispute.
12. General provisions
12.1 These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Countfire relating to the referral program.
12.2 If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, it shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to remain enforceable.
12.3 No waiver shall be effective unless in writing.
12.4 You may not assign or transfer your rights under these terms.
12.5 You participate in the Program as an independent party, not as an agent or employee of Countfire.
